ATD Dancer's Day Out 12th July, Meole Brace Memorial Hall near Shrewsbury (England)
Associated Tap Dancers (ATD) are a non-profit making organisation for adults who tap dance for fun. We arrange events all over the country including our annual festival, TapUK, and our one day workshops - Dancers Days Out.
We are holding a Dancers Day Out on Sunday 12th July 2009. The venue is Meole Brace Memorial Hall near Shrewsbury. The day will consist of two 1.5 hour adult tap workshops and light refreshments. You will need to bring your own lunch. The cost of this day is £15 for current members of ATD, and £18 for non-members.
Your instructor for the day is James Doubtfire. James trained at North Herts College Hitchin, for 2 years. After leaving, he performed extensively across the U.K and Europe as Dancer/Dance Captain. He then went on to perform in musicals, including UK tour of 42nd St , the first UK tour of Me and My Girl with Gary Wilmot, An Evening with Gary Wilmot, An Evening With Sondheim, UK and Australian tours of Hot Shoe Shuffle playing the role of Tip. James has also appeared in many television shows including The Royal Variety Performance, The Clothes Show, Barrymore, The Generation Game, The National Lottery and This Morning. James also had the honour of performing in one of the BBC famous dance idents that has been aired on BBC 1 for the past 5 years.
James has toured with Tap Dogs for the past 9 years performing as Dancer/Dance Captain and also acts as Assistant Resident Director for the company. He has toured with the show around Europe, Asia and London West End. He continued the role of Dance Captain/Assistant Resident Director for the West End production of Tap Dogs Rebooted.
I have attached a booking form for this event and a poster which you may like to display at your dance school/tap class. Please return form and payment to me at:- 30 Turnpike Lane, Ickleford, Herts, SG5 3XB and not to the ATD head office address.
Confirmation of booking and a map will be emailed (or posted) to you 1-2 weeks before the event. Please ensure I have an email address or phone number on your form so I can confirm any late bookings. You can contact me on jo.atd@ntlworld.com or phone 01462 625259.
I look forward to seeing you.
Kind Regards
Jo Summerfield
